Mooneyes came & went in the blink of an eye. That’s the way this Japanese show always is, fast and furious, but at the same time, I can vouch that this is still the one show with the greatest proportion of amazing bikes. This year, there were more than ever before from overseas that came just to check it out in addition to the builders and media that always come. I ran into Asian Dan from back home in Denver, and he said there were another 5-guys that came from Denver, which just about blew me away! Everyone will agree it is worth it. According to the built-in pedometer in my iPhone, I walked 4.5 miles during the show, and that was mostly just back and forth since despite the number of bikes, they are so packed in the show doesn’t cover all that much space. (Keep in mind, this was just 4-1/2 weeks since my foot surgery, so I think I’m doing pretty darn well!) My biggest take-away from this show is that you could throw a dart and hit a feature quality bike. This being said, how do you pick your favorite? Downright tough it was, but it doesn’t keep us from trying. I did pick a number of shops to visit, so I’ll be posting photos from these visits over the next few days.
