Friday started out very brisk as we left Williams, AZ headed to Lake Havasu City, for stage 13 of the Race of the Century. There weren’t many complaints, however, because it was dry and we knew the further west we went the warmer it would get. We traveled down a very nostalgic Historic Route 66 which brought us into Kingman for a wonderful lunch at Mother Road Harley-Davidson. We in turn had an amazing dinner hosted by Lake Havasu City Convention and Visitors Bureau where we were greeted by a very large crowd. There once again were many repairs happening in the parking lots of both hotels as nightfall came, most working late into the night. Today we will journey to Palm City, CA as we once again face higher temps as we travel through the California desert.
