Oliver Peck

There are characters, and then there are CHARACTERS. Oliver Peck is one of the latter. As I wrote in my Lichter Notes/Dennis Kirk Blog feature, “Go big or go home! The life of Oliver Peck,” Oliver has self-described himself as a “short obnoxious guy who likes to have fun all the time.” I agree with him, although I believe he’s more fun than obnoxious. Others have described him as unfiltered, free-spirited, wild, crazy, and nuts. They’re all true, but they fall short of the man himself. And with over 600,000 followers on Instagram, there is a lot about Oliver that people like.

Many of you are familiar with Oliver through the 13 seasons he appeared as a judge on the “Ink Master” television series. I only got to know him after meeting at Born Free. He was set up with his life and business partner Audra Cabral in their “Cheap Thrills” booth and offered me a fantastic ice-cold cold-brew coffee. With his Texas accent as strong as the highly caffeinated brew he seemed to be enjoying, his trademark toothpick hanging from his mouth, and cock-sure way of talking with laughter seamlessly intertwined with his words, I was immediately fascinated and wanted to know more.
